The Still Capture Library is a set of functions that allows C/C++ developers to add still capture from webcams to their applications in just a few lines of code. The library is based on the DirectShow API but all the complexity is invisible to the developer. Even though the library is very small, it features all the functions to get the most out of the available webcam(s). This version brings some new functions to control device properties (e.g. brightness, contrast, zoom, etc.) and supports both Device-Dependent Bitmaps (DDB) and Device-Independent Bitmaps (DIB).  Read more

By chance, the activation process of my new ISP was rather quick (a little bit more than a week) and I am now back online. The IAD provided by the ISP is faulty though so I am now waiting for a new one.

SNMP Test for routers is a tool that queries and monitors SNMP-compatible devices but it is especially designed to test SNMP router compatibility. The first part of the test queries the system name and system description strings, the forwarding flag and enumerates all the exposed interfaces. SetXML is a small command-line tool that allows you to easily create or update XML files from a Command Prompt, a script, a batch file or the Task Scheduler, etc. The program was especially designed to update PAD files but it can update XML files for any other purpose. The program features its own XML description language and implements different file-related functions to easily insert path, version, size and time information.  Read more
